DAILY COURIER — Aare Tolu Bankole, a member of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Mr. Tunde Oladunjoye, the Publicity Secretary of the APC in Ogun State.
In a heartfelt condolence message issued from Abuja on Saturday, Aare Bankole described the late Oladunjoye as a gallant defender of the APC's values and an unwavering voice of progressive politics in the state and beyond.
“Mr. Oladunjoye was not just a party spokesman; he was a gallant defender of the values and vision of the APC,” Bankole stated. “He lived a memorable life, dedicated to the progressive ideals of our party and the development of Ogun State and Nigeria at large.”
Reflecting on the deceased's legacy, Bankole praised Oladunjoye’s effectiveness in bridging the gap between the party, government, and the people, citing his articulate communication, strategic engagement, and dignified representation of party policies and programs.
He recalled Oladunjoye’s political journey from his service as Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government Area to his role as the APC's spokesperson in Ogun State, noting that his contributions were instrumental in shaping public discourse and sustaining the credibility of the party.
“His unwavering loyalty and commitment to the APC remain a legacy that will inspire future generations of party faithful,” Bankole added.
The NWC member extended his condolences to Oladunjoye’s family, Governor Dapo Abiodun, and the entire APC structure in Ogun State, describing the deceased as a “rare gem whose shoes will be hard to fill.”
He concluded by praying for the repose of Oladunjoye’s soul, asking Almighty Allah to grant him Aljanatul Firdaus and comfort the bereaved family.
Oladunjoye’s death has sent shockwaves across political circles in Ogun State and the wider APC family, where he was widely regarded as a committed party loyalist and skilled communicator.
