DAILY COURIER — The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Mr. Tunde Oladunjoye, the Publicity Secretary of the party in Ogun State.
In an official statement released on Saturday by the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Felix Morka, the party described Oladunjoye's death as a profound loss to the APC family in Ogun State and across the nation.
Before assuming the role of the party’s spokesman in Ogun, Oladunjoye served as the Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government Area, where he was recognized for his dynamic leadership and connection to the grassroots. His political journey and communication prowess earned him respect within the party and in the broader public sphere.
According to the APC, Oladunjoye was not only a seasoned communicator but also a savvy administrator and grassroots mobilizer whose service helped bridge the information gap between the government and the people. His work as a communications consultant to the state government was lauded for fostering improved public awareness and understanding of government policies and programmes.
“He was a vibrant voice for the party and a strategic asset in our public engagement efforts,” the statement read. “We extend our deepest condolences to his immediate family, Governor Dapo Abiodun, the entire Ogun APC family, and the Conference of APC Publicity Secretaries (CAPS) over this devastating loss.”
The party prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive Oladunjoye’s shortcomings and grant him eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.
Oladunjoye’s death has sent shockwaves through the APC community, where he was known as a steadfast loyalist and committed party man. Tributes have continued to pour in from colleagues and political allies who described him as a dedicated leader who gave his all in defense of the party’s ideals.
