DAILY COURIER - President Bola Tinubu has expressed heartfelt condolences to his Vice, Kashim Shettima and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje following the recent passing of their mothers-in-law.
In his message to Vice-President Kashim Shettima on the passing of his mother-in-law, Hajiya Maryam Abubakar Albishir. He described the loss as deeply painful and highlighted Hajiya Maryam's philanthropic endeavors and exemplary virtues that continue to inspire. The President joined in mourning the departed matriarch and encouraged the Shettima family to find comfort in her remarkable life and legacy.
Additionally, President Tinubu extended condolences to Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, National Chairman of the APC, President Tinubu conveyed his sympathies on the demise of Hajiya Asiya Muhammad Gauyama in Kano on Monday. He praised the late Hajiya Asiya for her significant roles as a matriarch, guide, and community leader, acknowledging her enduring impact on family and society. The President offered prayers for the repose of her soul and solace for the grieving family.
Both mothers-in-law have been interred in Kano according to Islamic rites.
Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, issued both statements on June 24, 2024, underscoring President Tinubu's compassion and solidarity with grieving families during these difficult times.
