DAILY COURIER – The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has appointed Air Commodore Ejodame as its new spokesperson, marking a significant move in the Force’s strategic communication drive. A seasoned officer with a rare blend of military, academic, and diplomatic experience, Ejodame brings with him a legacy of excellence in defence management, public relations, and global military diplomacy.
A proud member of the 45th Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Ejodame holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s in Transport and Logistics, and a PhD in Information Systems and Management Studies from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom.
Ejodame’s professional journey is decorated with prestigious trainings both locally and internationally. He trained at the United Nations International Peace Support Operations Centre in Kenya and took part in the Erasmus Intensive Programme on Optimisation and Decision Making in Supply Chain in Portugal. His deep insights into logistics and systems management have strengthened operational efficiency within the Nigerian military.
He completed advanced military education at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji and the Air Force War College, Makurdi, where he emerged as Best Graduating Participant. He also bagged the Chief of Defence Staff Award and the Chief of Air Staff Award at the National Defence College, Abuja—an institution reserved for the country’s most promising strategic minds.
Over the years, Air Commodore Ejodame has taken on key roles in defence education and institutional development. He served as Directing Staff at both the AFCSC, Jaji, and the National Defence College, Abuja. As Pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna, and later Director of Procurement, he played a pivotal role in shaping future defence leaders through curriculum innovation and academic administration.
His diplomatic posting as Defence Adviser to Nigeria’s High Commission in Malaysia, with concurrent accreditation to nine other countries, showcased his capacity to project Nigeria’s defence interests on the international stage. His tenure facilitated stronger bilateral ties and regional military cooperation.
With this new appointment, the Nigerian Air Force signals a renewed commitment to strategic, transparent, and professional communication. Ejodame is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). He is also a Fellow of the Air Force War College and the National Defence College.
Analysts see his appointment as a fitting recognition of a career marked by distinction, discipline, and vision. As NAF’s new image-maker, Air Commodore Ejodame is expected to bring clarity, credibility, and strategic direction to the Force’s public engagement in this critical period of national security evolution.
