DAILY COURIER - Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has paid heartfelt tributes to Chief Patrick Adaba, former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, and Dr. Tom Adaba, the pioneer Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), who both recently passed away.
During separate condolence visits to their families in Abuja, Governor Ododo lauded their exceptional service to Kogi State and Nigeria, describing them as distinguished public servants whose contributions will remain a source of inspiration.
At the residence of the late Chief Patrick Adaba, Governor Ododo acknowledged his selfless leadership and dedication to the people of Kogi State. He praised the former deputy governor, who served between 1999 and 2003, for his unwavering commitment to governance and his role in shaping the early years of Kogi State’s democratic journey.
Similarly, while visiting the home of the late Dr. Tom Adaba, Governor Ododo described him as a trailblazer in Nigeria’s broadcasting industry. He highlighted Dr. Adaba’s pioneering leadership as the first Director-General of the NBC, noting that his vision and professionalism laid the foundation for a robust regulatory framework in the media sector.
Governor Ododo commended the Adaba family for raising two illustrious sons who contributed immensely to the nation’s progress. He emphasized that their legacies in public service, leadership, and media excellence would continue to inspire generations.
“The people of Kogi State and Nigeria at large will deeply miss the Adaba brothers. Their service and dedication to the nation remain invaluable and indelible,” Governor Ododo stated.
