DAILY COURIER - The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his visionary leadership, describing him as a transformational leader who has placed Nigeria on the path to economic recovery and national progress.
In a statement released on Thursday by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party extolled the President’s resilience, courage, and commitment to national development as he marks his 73rd birthday. APC acknowledged Tinubu’s illustrious career, from his days in the corporate sector to his groundbreaking achievements in politics, particularly as Governor of Lagos State, where he laid the foundation for the state’s emergence as a thriving megacity.
“As Governor of Lagos State, you left a legacy of achievements that became the launchpad for Lagos as a vibrant megacity with a highly competitive Gross Domestic Product (GDP) far larger than that of many African countries,” the statement read. “Your successors in office have continued to consolidate upon this legacy.”
The party emphasized that since assuming office as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Tinubu has implemented bold and strategic policies aimed at dismantling long-standing economic and structural barriers. According to the APC, these reforms are beginning to yield tangible results, positioning the country on the path of sustainable growth and development.
“At a trying time in our nation’s history, you rose to the occasion, undaunted, patriotically rolling out policies and reforms, with zestful commitment, to tackle generational barriers to national progress and restore vitality and growth to the economy,” APC stated. “Less than two years on, your visionary leadership has ushered in a turnaround, with manifest strides that now place our country firmly on the cusp of epochal transformation and prosperity.”
The statement further reaffirmed the party’s unwavering support for Tinubu’s administration and the Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at fostering economic revival, infrastructural advancement, and improved governance for the benefit of all Nigerians.
On behalf of the party’s National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, members of the National Working Committee (NWC), and the teeming APC faithful across the country, the party extended heartfelt congratulations to President Tinubu on his 73rd birthday, praying for continued wisdom, good health, and divine guidance in steering the affairs of the nation.
