DAILY COURIER - The All Progressives Congress (APC) has joined Muslims across Nigeria and the world in celebrating Eid-el-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.
In a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC acknowledged the spiritual dedication of Muslims throughout the holy month and commended their commitment to prayers, sacrifice, charity, and fostering peace and unity in the country.
“As we mark this significant occasion in the Islamic calendar, we celebrate with our Muslim brothers and sisters who have demonstrated unwavering devotion to Almighty Allah through fervent prayers and acts of kindness. Ramadan embodies sacrifice, generosity, and discipline, virtues that must be upheld beyond the holy month,” the statement read.
The party urged Muslims to continue exemplifying the principles espoused by the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), emphasizing the need for tolerance, compassion, and mutual respect to strengthen national unity and peaceful coexistence.
The APC also called on the Muslim Ummah to use the Eid-el-Fitr celebration as a moment of reflection and prayer for the country's leaders, while reaffirming their collective dedication to achieving sustainable peace, economic growth, and national development.
“We encourage Nigerians to remain steadfast in their commitment to building a progressive nation. By upholding the values of Ramadan—sacrifice, patience, and generosity—we can foster unity and drive the nation towards greater heights,” the statement continued.
The party concluded by wishing all Muslims a joyous and peaceful Eid celebration.
“Barka da Sallah, dear compatriots!” the statement added.
