DAILY COURIER - In a heartfelt call for unity and progress, Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has urged the people of the state to come together in harmony for the collective development of Kogi State. Governor Ododo made this appeal during a condolence visit to the family of the State Auditor General, Alhaji Yakubu Yusuf Okala, following the passing of his mother, Hajiya Amina Yusuf Okala.
A statement today by his spokesperson, Ismaila Isah said that the Governor, alongside top officials of the Kogi State Government, attended the 8th Day Fidau prayer held in Ajiolo, Dekina Local Government Area, to honor the late matriarch of the Okala family. Speaking at the event, Governor Ododo described the occasion as more than a mourning period, calling it a "reunion of friends" and an opportunity to reconnect with close associates from Dekina and beyond.
In his tribute, the Governor praised the enduring legacy of the late Hajiya Amina Yusuf Okala, emphasizing that her influence lives on through the impactful contributions of her children to society. He encouraged parents to prioritize the education and moral upbringing of their children, highlighting the importance of preparing future generations for a life of service and positive impact.
