DAILY COURIER - The immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has reaffirmed his unwavering support for the Government House media team in their efforts to promote the policies and programmes of the current administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Alhaji Bello made this commitment on Friday during a New Year courtesy visit by the media team, led by Hon. Ismaila Isah, Special Adviser to Governor Ododo on Media. The meeting took place at the former governor’s residence in Okene, headquarters of the Kogi Central Senatorial District.
In his remarks, Bello expressed delight in hosting the team and reiterated his dedication to the welfare and professional growth of media practitioners in the state. He lauded their pivotal role in ensuring effective communication of government initiatives and pledged continuous support to enhance their operations.
“I appreciate your efforts in advancing the agenda of Governor Ododo’s administration and assure you of my support to ensure you succeed in your mission of promoting policies that bring development and progress to Kogi State,” Bello stated.
Hon. Ismaila Isah, speaking on behalf of the media team, expressed gratitude for the warm reception by the former governor and highlighted his enduring influence as a political leader in the state.
“Your Excellency, your leadership has been a source of inspiration to us all. The political family and youth of Kogi State remain steadfast in their loyalty to you. The inclusive governance you championed has laid a solid foundation for Governor Ododo’s continuity and consolidation agenda,” Isah remarked.
