Governor Biodun Oyebanji in a bid to strengthen healthcare delivery in Ekiti State, convened a strategic meeting with members of the Ekiti State Caucus in the National Assembly on Tuesday evening.
The meeting, held in Abuja, focused on reviewing progress in the state’s health sector and deepening collaboration with lawmakers to sustain advancements.
This engagement followed an earlier meeting in July, where Governor Oyebanji, accompanied by the Honourable Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Oyebanji Filani, presented the administration's comprehensive healthcare policies and programs to the National Assembly representatives. At the time, they sought legislative backing to drive critical health reforms across the state.
Governor Oyebanji highlighted the tangible improvements recorded in Ekiti’s healthcare sector, attributing them to the ongoing partnership between the state government and its representatives at both state and national levels. “Our collective efforts are yielding results, and with your continued support, we can achieve more to provide better health services to our people,” the governor stated.
The meeting underscored the importance of strategic collaboration between the executive and legislative arms of government, emphasizing how this synergy has catalyzed growth in critical sectors of Ekiti’s economy, including healthcare.
The Ekiti State Caucus members reiterated their commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of their constituents. They commended Governor Oyebanji’s administration for its visionary leadership and proactive approach in addressing healthcare challenges in the state.
