DAILY COURIER - Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the management and staff of the Nigerian Tribune Newspaper as the media institution marks its 75th anniversary.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Ismaila Isah, Governor Ododo lauded the Nigerian Tribune for its unwavering commitment to truth, transparency, and accountability throughout its illustrious history.
Governor Ododo praised the Nigerian Tribune for its leadership role in shaping public narratives, holding governments accountable, and setting an agenda for responsible governance. He commended the newspaper's dedication to responsible journalism, which he said has earned it a loyal readership across Nigeria over the decades.
"The enduring legacy of the Nigerian Tribune is exemplified in its commitment to balanced and fact-based reporting, even in an era where misinformation and fake news often dominate," the Governor said.

The Nigerian Tribune Newspaper was founded on November 16, 1949, by Nigeria’s nationalist leader Chief Obafemi Awolowo and his wife, Hannah Dideolu Awolowo. Over the years, it has grown into one of the nation’s most respected media institutions, serving as a trailblazer in the country’s media landscape.
