DAILY COURIER – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially opened the portal for online accreditation of journalists and media organizations interested in covering the upcoming Ondo State governorship election. The election is scheduled for November 16, 2024.
In a press release issued today, Monday, September 9, 2024, INEC announced that the portal is now live and will remain open until 12 midnight on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Media organizations wishing to deploy reporters, cameramen, and technical staff to cover the election must apply via the dedicated portal: https://imap.inecnigeria.org.
INEC has urged all prospective applicants to submit their applications well ahead of the October 31 deadline, emphasizing that there will be no extension, and late submissions will not be considered.
The accreditation process is a critical step to ensure comprehensive media coverage, promoting transparency in the electoral process.
