DAILY COURIER – The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has been awarded the title of overall best in website performance and ranking for the 2023-2024 evaluation period, following an extensive review conducted by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), a federal agency under the Presidency.
According to a statement signed by the corp's spokesperson, Olusegun Ogungbemide, the evaluation covered a total of 315 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) across Nigeria, with the FRSC emerging as the top performer due to its website’s effectiveness, functionality, and overall quality. The rigorous evaluation process was described as meticulous, highly diligent, and exceptionally objective, underscoring the importance of digital platforms in modern public service.
The 2023-2024 Federal Government Scorecard for Website Ranking serves as a benchmark for assessing the state of government websites in Nigeria. According to the BPSR, the ranking reflects the government's emphasis on the growing role of digital platforms as a primary channel for communication, service delivery, and information dissemination in the public sector.
In receiving the award, Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed expressed his appreciation for the transparency and objectivity that guided the screening process. He emphasized that the recognition was a testament to the FRSC’s commitment to delivering high-quality services through digital platforms, in line with its broader mandate of ensuring road safety in Nigeria.
“We are honored to receive this award and are committed to maintaining high standards across all aspects of our operations,” Mohammed said. He further thanked the public for their confidence in the Corps' ability to fulfill its responsibilities, noting that the recognition was a call to push for even greater performance.
The FRSC's success in this evaluation highlights the agency’s proactive engagement in public service reforms, positioning itself as a leader in adopting digital solutions for effective governance and service delivery.
The BPSR’s Ranking Initiative is part of the Federal Government’s wider agenda to enhance transparency, accessibility, and efficiency across MDAs, and this recognition of the FRSC underscores the agency’s role in driving digital transformation within Nigeria’s public sector.
