She further disclosed that Delta and Oyo States would be the next beneficiaries of the initiative.
Beyond food relief, the First Lady announced the launch of an RHI Social Investment Scheme, in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Environment, aimed at fostering environmental awareness. This initiative will establish climate change clubs in secondary schools and climate change societies in tertiary institutions, promoting a cleaner and healthier environment.
As part of RHI’s Economic Empowerment Plan, she also revealed that 200 Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) would receive ₦250,000 grants to help recapitalize their businesses. She emphasized that these programs align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which seeks to improve the well-being of Nigerians, particularly vulnerable communities.
Senator Tinubu urged the beneficiaries to utilize the food supplies to support their families while commending Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, Wife of the Kogi State Governor and State Coordinator of RHI, for her exceptional work in implementing the initiative.
In her remarks, Hajia Sefinat Ododo welcomed the First Lady’s delegation and assured that the food items would reach those most in need.
