ABUJA – Aare Hon. Tolu Bankole, a political strategist has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will serve his full two-term tenure, ruling out any possibility of a vacancy in Aso Rock in 2027.
In a statement released on Monday, Bankole reassured Nigerians of President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to national transformation and sustainable development, urging opposition parties to abandon any aspirations of taking over the presidency in 2027.
“Save your money and energy; there will be no vacancy in Aso Rock in 2027,” Bankole asserted. He highlighted the administration’s sweeping economic reforms, stating that while initial challenges exist, they are essential for Nigeria’s long-term economic stability and prosperity.
Bankole, a member of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), emphasized that Tinubu’s leadership has already begun revitalizing key sectors, including infrastructure, energy, and job creation. According to him, the President is dedicated to consolidating these gains in his second term, ultimately positioning Nigeria as a global economic and political powerhouse.
On the contentious issue of power rotation between the North and South, Bankole reaffirmed that the principle remains sacrosanct. “After President Tinubu’s constitutionally guaranteed eight-year tenure, power will return to the North in line with Nigeria’s established political framework. Those who fantasize about truncating this order are either ignorant of our political history or are deliberately stirring discord for selfish reasons,” he said.
He further took a swipe at opposition figures, accusing them of using falsehoods and divisive rhetoric in their bid for power. “The Nigerian people have seen through the pretenses of these opposition elements, whose past campaign strategies were built on baseless claims and deceptive narratives. Their misplaced pseudo-appeal has been exposed as nothing more than a series of comical and outrageous political schemes,” he remarked.
Looking ahead to the 2027 elections, Bankole expressed confidence in Tinubu’s re-election, emphasizing that the President’s commitment to national development would earn him a resounding victory. “Those considering contesting should rethink their ambition, as there is no vacancy in Aso Rock in 2027,” he stated.
He concluded by stressing that Nigeria cannot afford a reversal of the progress made under Tinubu’s administration. “The nation is on a path to renewed and sustainable glory, and President Tinubu’s vision for a prosperous Nigeria is becoming clearer for all to see,” he added.
With this strong statement, Bankole has sent a clear message to both the opposition and political observers, reinforcing the ruling party’s determination to maintain continuity and stability in governance.
