DAILY COURIER – The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Senator Solomon Ayodeji Otegbola, the Asiwaju of Aworiland and a distinguished elder statesman. Senator Otegbola, who was a notable Federal lawmaker during the Third Republic, passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of remarkable contributions to the nation's development.
A highly respected chartered surveyor, real estate mogul, traditional leader, and politician, Senator Otegbola made lasting impacts in various spheres of life. As a former Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, his tenure was marked by a steadfast commitment to people-centered governance, socio-economic development, and cultural advancement. He also made significant strides during his time as Chairman of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), where his leadership played a crucial role in the nation’s housing sector.
In a heartfelt statement released today, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, highlighted the late senator’s pivotal role in shaping the nation’s progress. "The APC is deeply saddened by the passing of Senator Solomon Ayodeji Otegbola, whose leadership and contributions to the socio-economic development of Nigeria are invaluable.
