DAILY COURIER - Aare (Hon) Tolu Bankole, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Senator Solomon Ayodeji Otegbola, the Asiwaju of Aworiland, describing him as a leader whose life epitomized selfless service, dedication, and exemplary leadership.
In a heartfelt condolence message, Bankole extended his sympathies to the family, friends, and the entire Ogun State, emphasizing the profound loss suffered by the state and the nation. He noted that Senator Otegbola was not only a devoted family man but also a distinguished professional in the field of Estate Surveying and Valuation, where he made significant contributions that continue to inspire many.
“Baba Otegbola was a man of immense stature, whose life was a testament to selfless service, unwavering dedication, and exemplary leadership. As a devoted family man, he nurtured and guided his loved ones with love and wisdom. As a professional, he stood as a colossus in the field of Estate Surveying and Valuation, leaving an indelible mark as an icon and a beacon of excellence,” Bankole said.
Beyond his professional achievements, Otegbola was deeply committed to public service. As a Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District and later as Chairman of the Federal Housing Authority, he played a crucial role in fostering development in Ogun West, Ogun State, and the nation at large. His visionary leadership and relentless efforts significantly impacted the socio-economic progress of his people.
“His legacy of service and dedication will forever remain etched in our hearts and in the annals of history,” Bankole added.
In addition to his political and professional roles, Otegbola was a revered traditional leader, holding the esteemed titles of Baba Alaje of Ota and Asiwaju of Aworiland.
