DAILY COURIER - The Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, has been conferred with an honorary doctorate by the African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Abuja. The prestigious award was presented during the university’s 10th Convocation ceremony, held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, in the Federal Capital Territory.
The honorary doctorate recognizes Engr. Coker-Odusote’s remarkable contributions to nation-building, particularly her transformative leadership in identity management. Since assuming office as the DG/CEO of NIMC, she has spearheaded groundbreaking reforms that have redefined the identity management landscape in Nigeria, making significant strides in efficiency, accessibility, and technological integration.
In her acceptance speech, Engr.
