DAILY COURIER - As the new year unfolds, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has assured Nigerians that the country is on a “bold and steady march” toward economic recovery and lasting prosperity. In its New Year message, the ruling party expressed gratitude to God for His preservation of the nation and acknowledged the perseverance of the Nigerian people in the face of various challenges.
A statement today by the party's Spokesperson, Felix Morka stressed that the APC, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, reaffirmed its commitment to the “Renewed Hope Agenda,” emphasizing that while the road to recovery may be gradual, the nation is steadily advancing toward greater prosperity.
“We are confident that 2025 will deliver many beneficial outcomes from ongoing economic reform programs of the administration, bringing relief and delight to our people,” the statement read. The party highlighted that across various sectors, visible signs of incremental progress are emerging, reinforcing the notion that Nigeria is on a path of transformation.
Despite facing challenges in the past, including economic hurdles and security concerns, the APC emphasized the resilience of the Nigerian people and their unwavering belief in the administration’s ability to overcome these setbacks. The party attributed the visible signs of progress to the collective efforts of all stakeholders, including the National Assembly, Progressive Governors' Forum, development partners, and party members who have worked collaboratively to build cohesion and push the agenda of national development forward.
“The incremental progress we are seeing is not a mere coincidence but the result of sustained efforts and strategic reforms,” said the statement. “One step at a time, Nigeria is on a bold and steady march toward full recovery and enduring prosperity.”
In its message, the APC also expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the leadership of the National Assembly, the APC legislative caucus, and other key stakeholders for their support in helping the party secure successive electoral victories. The National Working Committee (NWC) also acknowledged the role of development partners in fostering a conducive environment for growth and transformation.
Looking ahead to 2025, the APC reaffirmed its commitment to fulfilling its promises and improving the living conditions of Nigerians. The party emphasized that the ongoing reforms will lead to tangible results that will positively impact the lives of citizens across the country.
“We remain committed to delivering on our electoral promises and improving the living conditions of our people,” the statement concluded.
With the APC's vision for a prosperous Nigeria, the party’s New Year message offers a sense of optimism and determination as the country moves forward on its path to recovery and growth.
