DAILY COURIER - Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to building a merit-driven civil service as he swore in 48 newly appointed permanent secretaries. The event, which took place in Ibadan, marked a significant milestone in the state’s public service sector, as the positions had remained vacant for years.
In his remarks during the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Makinde emphasized that the appointments were the result of a rigorous selection process aimed at rewarding hard work, dedication, and competence. He reiterated his administration's determination to recognize and promote individuals who have diligently contributed to the progress of Oyo State.
“These positions have been vacant for years, and we have filled them based strictly on merit. Our goal is to entrench a civil service system that rewards diligence and dedication,” the governor stated.
