DAILY COURIER – The First Lady of Kogi State, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, has reiterated the critical role of unity, peace, and women’s empowerment in driving sustainable development across the state. Speaking at an anniversary dinner held at the Government House in Lokoja, she praised the contributions of women to societal growth and called for collective efforts to foster harmony across all social, tribal, and religious divides.
The event, which brought together women from diverse backgrounds, was organized to recognize and honor the achievements of women in Kogi State and beyond. The First Lady took the opportunity to applaud the Renewed Hope Initiative spearheaded by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, which has positively impacted millions of lives across the nation. Describing Senator Tinubu as a “compassionate mother of the nation,” Hajia Sefinat praised her commitment to uplifting women and young girls, calling her work an inspiration for all.
Hajia Sefinat expressed profound gratitude to her husband, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his steadfast support and encouragement, which she credited as a driving force behind her achievements.
