DAILY COURIER – Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has appointed Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo as his new Chief of Staff.
The appointment, which took effect from December 18, 2024, was confirmed in a statement issued by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Hon. Kayode Akinmade. Governor Abiodun personally presented Dr. Taiwo with his appointment letter on Wednesday.
Describing the appointment as “well-deserved,” Governor Abiodun congratulated Taiwo, commending his dedication and service to the state.
Taiwo previously served as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the governor and was Commissioner for Culture and Tourism during the governor’s first term.
His elevation to Chief of Staff underscores his close working relationship with the governor and his contributions to the administration.
An alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Taiwo holds a B.Sc. in Statistics and advanced degrees culminating in a Ph.D. His academic and professional background is seen as an asset in his new role.
The appointment has been lauded by stakeholders in the state, who believe Taiwo’s experience and commitment will further enhance the efficiency of the governor’s office.
