DAILY COURIER - Newly inaugurated Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has made significant moves to solidify his leadership team by appointing key figures to strategic roles within his government. The governor, elected under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has quickly crafted a team that blends seasoned political allies and experts with ties to influential figures, signaling his commitment to both loyalty and governance.
In a prominent appointment, Dr. Cyril Adams Oshiomhole, son of former Edo Governor Adams Oshiomhole, has been named Commissioner for Health. The nomination is seen as a recognition of the Oshiomhole family’s enduring influence in Edo politics and a reward for their longstanding support of the APC.
