DAILY COURIER - The National grid has again collapsed in its eighth time in 10 Months may have thrown Nigerians into darkness.
According to findings, it was the third time that the national grid would experience disturbances in a week and the eighth collapse in 10 months.
Recall that the national grid experienced disturbances two times last week, a development that compelled the Federal Government to vow to probe the circumstances surrounding the incessant grid collapses in the country.
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), in its recent report on the Second Quarter, stated that one partial grid disturbance was recorded during the period.
Both the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) and the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), respectively, confirmed Monday’s grid .
The National Grid on Saturday collapsed throwing Nigerians into darkness.
The grid disturbance marked the sixth grid collapse that the country would experience in 2024.
Earlier this year, Nigeria recorded its first blackout in 2024 as the national power grid collapsed at around 11:51 AM.
Also, on August 5, the country recorded its fifth blackout of the year.
