DAILY COURIER — Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, the wife of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno. Mrs. Eno passed away on Thursday at the age of 57 following a brief illness.
In a condolence message by Ismaila Isah, Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, addressed to the government and people of Akwa Ibom, Governor Ododo expressed shock at the untimely death of the first lady. He acknowledged her significant contributions to the state, noting her instrumental role in supporting Governor Umo Eno during his tenure, which has now spanned more than a year.
Governor Ododo described Mrs. Patience Umo Eno as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose charitable projects positively impacted the lives of many women and vulnerable groups across Akwa Ibom State. He praised her for her dedication to improving the well-being of her community.
Offering his heartfelt prayers, Governor Ododo asked for the peaceful repose of Mrs. Umo Eno's soul and sought God's comfort for her grieving family and the people of Akwa Ibom during this difficult time.
Mrs. Patience Umo Eno is survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and service to her state.
