DAILY COURIER - The National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Mary Alile in a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering the girl child has announced a comprehensive scholarship program targeting 3,700 girls across Nigeria. The scholarship will benefit 100 girls from each of the 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), providing them with the opportunity to pursue higher education in various modern disciplines.
This significant announcement today from Dr. Alile’s office highlighting the partnership with the Heart Bible University and Seminary, USA. The collaboration will offer a three-year undergraduate scholarship program in critical fields such as Information Technology (IT) Support, Project Management, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Cyber Security, UX Design, Counseling, and Psychology.
Dr. Alile emphasized the importance of this initiative in bridging the educational gap for young girls, particularly in the tech-driven global landscape. “Our goal is to empower the next generation of women leaders by equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in today’s competitive environment,” she said.
The scholarship aims not only to strengthen the education of these girls but also to provide them with the tools necessary to become leaders in their respective fields.
