DAILY COURIER - In a shocking raid, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) disrupted a drug party in Abuja, arresting 60 suspects, including 25 males and 35 females. The party, dubbed "Go hard or Go Home. Pick Your Poison", was organized by Stanley Ikechukwu, who was also arrested.
The raid followed credible intelligence, and six suspects were found with ecstasy and cannabis. Chairman Marwa directed the release of 20 suspects who tested negative for drugs, while 33 others will receive treatment and counseling.
The Abuja bust is part of a larger crackdown on drug trafficking, with NDLEA intercepting N7.3 billion worth of codeine in Port Harcourt, recovering 40.32kg of cannabis in Lekki, and destroying 18,632kg of cannabis in Edo. Two passengers were also arrested at MMIA Lagos with 150 cocaine wraps.
NDLEA's War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) sensitization activities continued in schools, worship centers, and communities across the country.
Chairman Marwa commended the officers and warned drug cartels that NDLEA will always be one step ahead.
