DAILY COURIER – Aare (Hon.) Tolu Bankole, a Member of the APC National Working Committee has congratulated Ogun State Governor, His Excellency Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun (CON), on his unanimous nomination as Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum.
In his statement, Bankole lauded Governor Abiodun's leadership and dedication to advancing the interests of Southern Nigeria, attributing his unanimous nomination to his exceptional governance and commitment to regional development. "This appointment is a testament to your exceptional leadership and commitment to advancing regional development across Southern Nigeria," Bankole noted.
Governor Abiodun’s new role is seen as a pivotal opportunity for the Southern Governors’ Forum to achieve greater governance excellence under his guidance. The Forum, which includes governors from the southern states of Nigeria, aims to foster unity and collective development across the region. Bankole expressed confidence that Governor Abiodun’s stewardship would lead the Forum to new heights, contributing significantly to the prosperity and progress of Nigeria.
Additionally, Bankole extended his congratulations to Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State, who has been elected as Vice Chairman of the Forum. He praised all the involved governors for their dedication to unity and regional development.
Bankole emphasized the importance of the Southern Governors’ Forum collaborating closely with the Federal Government. He highlighted the need to harness synergies and resources for comprehensive regional development, addressing infrastructure challenges, economic disparities, and security concerns.
