DAILY COURIER - President Tinubu has written to the Nigerian Senate, seeking the confirmation of Dr. Abdullahi Usman Bello as the chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
The President’s request was conveyed in a letter read on the floor of the Senate during plenary session on Thursday.
President Tinubu had on March 28, approved the appointment of Bello as the new Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), pending confirmation by the Senate.
The President had in a press statement issued through Ajuri Ngelale, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, said: “Dr. Bello is a consummate professional with more than 25 years of work experience in consulting, banking, law enforcement, financial services, and academia.”
If confirmed, Bello will replace Aliyu Kankia, who had been the acting Chairman of the Bureau.
